2021-22 Season LL League Age Groups

 

*For 2022 all field players must have NOCSAE/ND200 certified shoulder/chest protection. The club will provide certified protective gear for those in 8U, 10U & 12U who do not have their own.  Players with their own protective gear please make sure you are compliant.

Winter Skills 2022 Clinic ONLY

Winter Skills for 10U - 14U starts Sunday Jan 10th!

Manheim Township Boys Lacrosse Club will again be offering our Winter Skills Clinics hosted at Spooky Nook LANCO

Please note: If you register now for the 2021 Spring season you DO NOT need to register for Winter Skills, it is included in your Spring registration.  If you are not ready to register for Spring but want to attend the Winter skills you can do so by registering for Winter Skills Only. 

Dates for 10U - 14U (Experienced 3rd Graders - 8th Graders): 

Jan 9th; 16th; 23rd and 30th

Feb 6th; 20th and 27th

10U 4:00 - 5:00PM

12U 4:00 - 5:30PM

14U 5:30 - 7:00PM

Winter Skills Dates for "First Goal" 7U and 8U (K through Beginner 3rd Graders):

Jan 23rd; Feb 6th and 27th from 5:30pm - 6:15pm.

Please bring a full size stick, no other equipment needed. If you do not have one we will have a limited number to borrow. Please arrive 15 min early to get the kids organized and allow them to watch the older boys finish their practice. 

Equipment Handout:

For those 8U, 10U and 12U players that need equipment we will have a hand out prior to the start of our first session.

All of these Winter Skills Clinics are an extremely important part of your players development. We strongly encourage all of our MT Lacrosse players to participate in the clinics.  The clinics are intended to provide an opportunity for both our new and experienced players to show commitment to their stick skills and to elevating their game. It will allow us to hit the Spring season running so please make every effort to attend all of the clinics.   

The Winter Skills program is free to those who register for the Spring Season. If you register for the Winter Skills Clinic only, the cost is a non-refundable $25.00 per player.  This fee will not go towards the Spring Season should you choose to register for Spring at a later date.

US Lacrosse membership is required to participate.

In Grades: K to 8 for 2020-21 School year

7U - Spring 2022

 

Designed for beginner players new to Lacrosse.  All kindergarten and 1st graders should register for this team regardless of lacrosse experience, and for younger 2nd graders with no prior lacrosse skills instruction. 

We will use a soft lacrosse ball to teach the boys the basics of catching, throwing and ground ball play.  This program is designed to be fun and fast paced with emphasis on enjoying the game lacrosse.

Teams: One (1) team

Practice: One (1) day per week starting in April through the end of May. Location: TBD

Games: No games at this level.

Tournaments: No Tournaments are planned for this level

Equipment: No equipment needed other than a full-size lacrosse stick.  No Fiddle Sticks Please.

EACH PLAYER MUST BE A MEMBER OF US LACROSSE TO REGISTER.

8U - Spring 2022

This level is for inexperienced 3rd graders (any player who has not participated in organized lacrosse) and experienced 2nd graders. 

Teams: TBD pending numbers but usually we have enough to field two (2) Teams.

Practices: (1 -2) days per week starting in April through the end of May. Location: TBD

Games: We will have league games on select Sundays in April and May; times to be determined.

Tournaments: No Tournaments are planned for this level

Equipment: Full equipment is required. Can be available through Club. Sticks, mouth guards and athletic cups are not provided.

EACH PLAYER MUST BE A MEMBER OF US LACROSSE TO REGISTER.

10U - Spring 2022

This level is for our 3rd and 4th graders.  The intent at this level to have fun and continue to develop basic lacrosse skills and knowledge while increasing the level of competition. 

Teams: Two (2) teams - BALANCED. This level plays 7v7 on small-sided fields. 
Practices: Three (3) days per week, time and location TBD.

Games: Likely Saturdays starting in April, inter-league, travel required. Locations will be provided.

Tournaments: To be announced, typically 2-3
Equipment:  Full equipment is required. Can be available through Club. Sticks, mouth guards and athletic cups are not provided.

12U - Spring 2022

This level is for our 5th and 6th graders. The intent at this level to have fun and continue to develop basic lacrosse skills and knowledge while increasing the level of competition. 

Teams: Two (2) BALANCED teams.
Practice: Three (3) days per week location TBD.
Games: Likely on Saturdays starting in April through end of May, Inter-league games, travel required. Locations will be provided.

Tournaments: To be announced, typically 3-4

Equipment: Full equipment is required. This can be borrowed from the club. Sticks, mouth guards and athletic cups are not provided.

There is $25/child discount for the second child registered in MTBYLA. There is a $50 discount for the third child registered in MTBYLA.

EACH PLAYER MUST BE A MEMBER OF US LACROSSE TO REGISTER.

14U - Spring 2022

This is our 7th and 8th grade program. The intent at this level to have fun, continue to develop our players lacrosse skills and knowledge and to get them ready for High School lacrosse.

Teams: Two (2) unbalanced teams.  Both teams are competitive with White typically made up of more experienced players and Blue made up of less experienced players.

Practices: Mandatory practices will be Monday through Thursdays. Practice times and location TBD.

Games: Likely on Saturdays starting in April through end of May, Inter-league games, travel required. Locations will be provided.

Tournaments: To be announced, typically 3-4

Equipment: Full equipment is required and is the responsibility of the player. Team issued Helmets will be provided if requested.

There is $25/child discount for the second child registered in MTBYLA. There is a $50 discount for the third child registered in MTBYLA.

 

EACH PLAYER MUST BE A MEMBER OF US LACROSSE TO REGISTER.
